(Intern/Recent Graduate With Under Two Years of Practice)
This extension approach program entails fresh graduates trying to set food in the agricultural space as
extension agents. We aim to help graduates actualise their dreams and visions to forge expertise by
tapping into a window of practical skills and knowledge from our team. We will delve into forging their
ideas while trying to actualise them as agripreneurs too. The aim is to convert them into agents of change
for our local farming communities through apprenticeship and bridge the widening extension to farmer gap as
well as create employment opportunities.

Seasoned/Veteran Extension Agent
(Experienced Officers and Those With Over Two Years of Field Practice and Experience)
This extension approach program targets experienced individuals and practising professionals either in government
or private sectors. The idea is to tap into their experience and leverage it for mentorship to our junior
agronomists and extension agents. It's more of a last mile approach to extension in the broader category of
agriculture and agribusiness to almost all players with the aim of driving sustainability in the agricultural sector.
Skills & Knowledge Expectations:
•A deeper understanding about extension and linkages to other partners locally, nationally and globally
•Deeper insights about farmer needs, expectations,challenges, solutions, production, market linkages, cooperative approaches and other players in agricultural space
•Practical agribusiness models in play from start ups,SMEs and multinationals
•Laws and regulations governing the agricultural sector and relevant bodies; KEPHIS,KEBs, HCDA, AFA,etc and other important stakeholders like Government thru institutions like KALRO, Universities,NGOs, Researchers, policy markers etc and their role in shaping the future of agriculture locally and globally.
